Current "Generation Services Charge" (or GSC) Rates/Choices
The current Connecticut Light & Power (CL&P) and United Illuminating (UI) GSC rates that are provided below should be used to compare the GSC rates that are offered by competitive electric providers (suppliers/aggregators). Consumers must contact each of their potential electric providers to compare each provider's GSC rate and inquire about their terms and conditions of service.

Suppliers & Aggregators
While CL&P and UI will continue to distribute (deliver) electricity, independent companies (known as electric suppliers or aggregators) now provide electric generation services to Connecticut residents and businesses.

CTCleanEnergyOptionsCTCleanEnergyOptions is a Department of Public Utilities Control (DPUC) approved program that allows any CL&P or UI customer the opportunity to support clean energy made from approved renewable resources such as wind, small hydro and landfill gas. Customers who enroll continue to receive electric delivery service from their utility, but would pay a small clean energy surcharge.
